Workshop in spirit

Its been a long-term plan of mine to set up my own space for tinkering. Its called The Shedtronic Workshop. I have in mind a larger workshop but for now at least its a tinkering space that I have set aside for working on creative projects. I work each day with technology and when you spend too long staring in to a computer screen, you need an antidote to that. Some people I know brew beer, make bread or just avoid screens altogether. My plan is to combine physical, tactile skills with digital processes in new and interesting ways. These are small insignificant beginnings but I am hoping that it will grow into something more tangible as time goes on.

So this is a blog that will document the journey of The Shedtronic Workshop, you could think of it as some kind of portfolio of my interests. I am not going to pigeon-hole my interests into a category for now. You are just as likely to see me working with traditional skills or trying to digitally represent white noise from space, as you are likely to see me designing curious musical instruments. If this interests you, pop back from time to time or follow me on any of the social links that are dotted around the place. For now at least, lets get back to making . . .
